Göcek, south coast of Turkey

N36°45.24 E028°56.13
(October 2009)

We anchored in front of Skopea Marina. The holding was very good. The wind tends to blow right into Göcek making the anchorage a bit bouncy at times. We landed at the municipal marina (go between the two pontoons and there’s a concrete wall at the head) but the wall is quite rough. There’s a handy rubbish skip just to the right. Our preferred landing spot was on the beach to the right of Skopea Marina. Göcek is a bit touristy/yachty but still pleasant. The shopping is good as the several supermarkets and good selection of chandlers are all close together.
