Pilloried Cove, Sarsala Iskelesı, Skopea Limanı, south coast of Turkey

N36°39.52 E028°51.20
(October 2009)

Anchored and tied back to orange bollards. Good holding. It would have been a quiet spot except that we were moored amongst a row of 80 foot motor yachts. The head of Sarsala Iskelesı on the north side is buoyed off for swimming. There’s a little wooden building there that might be a café.

There’s a great walk from Pilloried Cove. Land at the foreshore (don’t be put off by the bushes coming right to the edge), cut through the bushes, walk about 50 metres in, turn left and follow the green and red dots. It takes you up and around the headland towards Wall Bay. Lovely views of Skopea Limanı from the top.
